Brody Beaver 1990-2011
Brody Beaver, a national high school cutting champion and the son of eight time World Champion Cowboy Joe Beaver and his wife, Jenna, died the morning of Aug. 24 in Houston. He was 20.

Beaver rode a 14 year old bay gelding named Ali to the national boys cutting championship at the 2009 National High School Finals Rodeo in Farmington, N.M., receiving a trophy saddle, buckle and scholarship to attend Weatherford Texas College.

He also starred in the film Grand Champion in 2002, was Modeling Association of America International, Inc. Top Model in 2005 and was a National Cutting Horse Association Top 15 Amateur in 2008.

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Jenna Beaver, his grandparents, J. J. and Willie Head and Bonnie Beaver, his aunt, Jackie Peters, and his cousin, J. C. Peters. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Beaver, and his uncle, David Peters. He was loved by a large and extended family made up of countless friends.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 at Walker County Fair Grounds, Highway 30, Huntsville, Texas. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville, Texas.
