The Red Bluff Roundup springs into action this week with three fun filled rodeo performances April 21-23. This year marks their eleventh annual TETWP Sunday performance. During the past ten years, the Red Bluff Roundup has raised $378,000, through various TETWP events held in the community. Red Bluff Roundup is proud to partner with St. Elizabeth Community Hospital to raise funds for the Imaging Center. One hundred percent of the funds raised have stayed in the Red Bluff community! The money raised has been used for new equipment, mammograms, mammogram pads and the nurse navigator program. St. Elizabeth has evolved and grown into one of the top hospitals within Northern California.
Currently the Imaging Center is raising funds for a Hologic 3D Mammography machine with a Sterotactic Table to replace its conventional 2D mammography unit. 3D mammography exams are the new standard of care and eight out of ten patients inquire about 3D capabilities. Without upgrading to a 3D unit, the challenges of conventional mammography included as many as 20% of all breast cancers will be missed in a scan and 10% of women being recalled for additional diagnostic work. The benefits of 3D mammography are that it improves clinical outcomes with superior cancer detection, great diagnostic accuracy, reduction in recall rates, and it is an ultra-fast scan, which minimizes compression time and lowers patient radiation doses. The new unit will combine a table which will allow Sterotactic Biopsies; something which is not currently available in Tehama County. To offer this type of care in Tehama County would greatly benefit the community.
This year, during the Sunday TETWP rodeo performance, Red Bluff Roundup will be auctioning a “His and Her” Package. They will offer a Henry Repeating Arms Big Boy 44 Magnum/44 Special that is engraved and comes with custom made scabbard, for him and a one-of-a-kind silver bracelet with rose gold accents, for her. Also included in this package is an exclusive, behind-the-scenes experience at two of Napa’s top wineries. The tour includes private experiences at two of Napa Valley’s iconic luxury estates, Clos Pegase and Swanson Vineyards, and a two night stay at a five star hotel. The winner will also be going home with two cases of fine wines from these wineries for their cellar.
