After the rodeo on Monday, it is definitely safe to say that Meagher County is Tough Enough to Wear Pink.

Meagher County Rodeo Club members wore pink proudly while hosting Monday’s performance. There was an excellent showing of contestants and attendees wearing the sporty color of pink. Everyone from the local athletes in the sheep and steer riding to the star PRCA bull riders and bulldoggers were wearing the once considered feminine color. The Bozeman Saddle-ites added a pink flare to the arena with their pink bandanas and ribbon adorned horses. T-shirts from the Susan G. Komen Foundation were winged into the audience for all ages to enjoy.

Montana Silversmith’s donated a watch for the occasion. The watch was auctioned during the rodeo for a $500 winning bid. The $500 from the watch combined with an added $500 donation from Mountainview Medical Center and the Meagher County Rodeo Club will be given to the Montana branch of the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Helena.

So what did Mountainview Medical Center, Meagher County residents, pink, broncs and bulls have in common?: A fun Labor Day rodeo in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
